Were looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Developer Experience team and bring HubSpots AI coding infrastructure to life. Youll fine-tune deploy and optimize large language models that help developers write software faster and smarter. Your work ensures our AI systems are scalable reliable and constantly improving to unlock new levels of developer productivity.
What Youll Do
- Design fine-tune and deploy open-source models for code generation and developer tools.
- Build and maintain RLHF pipelines to improve model alignment and quality.
- Evaluate and integrate new inference frameworks (vLLM SGLang Ray) for production readiness.
- Optimize GPU utilization CUDA performance and distributed inference efficiency.
- Manage the model lifecycle from experimentation to deployment at scale.
- Debug performance bottlenecks dependency conflicts and distributed system issues.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate models into developer-facing products.
- Stay ahead of emerging ML technologies and translate advances into actionable improvements.
What Youll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in machine learning or ML infrastructure roles (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch TensorFlow).
- Experience deploying and optimizing LLMs in production environments.
- Familiarity with GPU optimization CUDA and distributed computing frameworks.
- Experience with inference systems such as vLLM SGLang or Ray.
- Ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly to cross-functional partners.
- Ownership mindset and curiosity to experiment with emerging models.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Masters degree (or equivalent experience) in ML Data Science or Computer Science.
- Experience with code generation or AI-assisted development tools.
- Background in developer tooling (static analysis IDEs or CI/CD).
- Contributions to open-source ML infrastructure projects.

Work type: Hybrid (2 days per week in Office)
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary on-target commission for employees in eligible roles and annual bonus targets under HubSpots bonus plan for eligible addition to cash compensation some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpots equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills experience qualifications and other job-related reasons.
