Job Summary

The Projects Coordinator works in Court Administrators Office providing specialized services for one of the subdivisions. May be assigned to a single or multiple simultaneous projects. Assigned projects may change at any time but will typically involve several of the following duties: organization and completion of projects; data collection and analysis; assist in report generation; customer support; clerical assistance to committees; provide ancillary service to courts; assist in grant management; research and mastery of computer system. Advanced clerical and procedural work with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and evaluative thinking with occasional role as team lead in supervisors absence.

This is a full-time permanent opening based in Burlington VT. Starting salary is $27.50 per hour. The Projects Coordinator is a non-exempt Judicial Branch position equivalent to pay grade 23. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: Two years or more years directly relevant administrative or project-oriented experience.
Advanced education may be substituted for experience on a 6-months for semester basis.
OR
Associates degree or equivalent college credits and 3 years directly relevant complex administrative or project-oriented experience.

Summary of Duties:

  • Efficient coordination of one or more projects which may be either ongoing or new in nature.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to establish and maintain working relationships at multiple levels of the organization and among diverse public and private stakeholders sometimes under significant time constraints.
  • Employ attention to detail and methodical approach to executing on priorities setting schedules processing financial and accounting records and meeting performance goals under grants/contracts/agreements.
  • Provide research analysis and routine statistical support as required to meet project goals.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of large group events held in-person or in a virtual manner using remote technology.
  • Production of materials and presentations as needed to enable stakeholder involvement communication orientation and participant training.
  • Assist in establishing and managing to a budget for the program or project.
  • Escalate issues and obstacles to supervisors attention according to established procedure.
  • This position is responsible for all duties defined and other duties as assigned such as training other employees.
  • The job entails the operation of various types of electronic equipment and new equipment may be introduced at any time.

Scheduled hours of work generally conform to public court hours but assignments may extend beyond those hours. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Job Code # 25079
