| Job Description: | The Pedal Florida Research Project is looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic to support the project. The experienced bicycle mechanic will be expected to: - Coordinate bicycle-related logistics for Florida Cancer Innovation Fund research project.
- Administer cycling-related research assessments.
- Receive build inspect and maintain bicycles for the research project. Provide transport of built bicycles to and adjustments for participants.
- Ensure that participants are able to comfortably operate bicycles to meet research objectives.
- Assist in research intervention development.
This position is time limited. |

| Required Qualifications: | Bicycle Mechanics certification required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bicycle retail and/or fitting required. Must hold a valid Florida drivers license. |

| Preferred: | Bicycle Mechanics certification with experience building bicycles as shipped from manufacturers diagnoses of mechanical issues and repairs and experience with fitting bicycles to riders. Experience with bicycle retail strongly preferred. Familiarity with how individuals who may be new to cycling approach bicycles fit comfort and safety. Capable of lifting bicycles (up to 30 pounds) and transportation within 50 miles of main UF campus. |
