Were recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for a Financial Accounts Analyst to join their busy and friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for part-time term-time-only work with a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The role involves delivering accurate and timely financial processing across a defined portfolio of clients ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate financial processing including:
- VAT returns
- Payroll preparation
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger maintenance
- Credit control and weekly payment runs
- Prepare and distribute unpaid bills reports
- Complete weekly and month-end bank reconciliations and adjustments
- Manage client inboxes responding actioning and filing emails in a timely manner
- Maintain and update client How To documentation
- Participate in the team phone rota
- Support wider team activity and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
Were looking for a detail-oriented reliable professional with a strong understanding of financial transactional processes and a commitment to customer service excellence. Youll enjoy working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE 5 in English and Maths or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar finance or accounts role covering VAT payroll ledgers and reconciliations
- Working knowledge of accounting software ideally QuickBooks Xero or Sage
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
- AAT CIMA or ACCA trainee or qualified by experience
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive team-oriented mindset
