Youth Ballet Instructor (International District/Chinatown Community Center)
If you have a knowledge and understanding of Ballet fundamentals and passion for and experience teaching Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as aYouth Ballet Instructorat International District/Chinatown Community Center. This is a seasonal part-time role with a targeted start date of 01/08/2026.
ARC in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs classes and this role the Youth Ballet Instructorat International District/Chinatown Community Centerwill lead participants through 30-minute lessons. The classs objectives are to strengthen bodies and minds and provide a safe and positive environment for children to express themselves.
Schedule:
- Thursdays 5:00-5:45pm
- 01/08/2026-03/26/2026
Start Date:01/08/2026
Ballet InstructorDuties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate class lesson plans for cohorts. Instructors are expected to plan their weekly dance lessons.
- Plan lead and implement age-appropriate lessons for ballet classes focusing on strengthening minds and bodies introductory skills fine motor development and dance appreciation.
- Instructors are expected to set up and clean up the space before and after each weekly lesson.
- Complete required administrative reports such as attendance sheets and accident reports.
Youth Ballet Instructor requirements include:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience working with children
- Experience teachingballet
- Must pass acriminal background check
Pay:
- $26.50 - 28.50/hr.
- Seasonal part-time position
