What is the compensation
Pay Rate:$14.00 - $16.50 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Payment will be made by direct deposit.

What will I do
Organize schedule deliver and evaluate assigned hockey programs and events.
Collect program registration fees.
Create and maintain team rosters and participant lists.
Manage inventory and monitor the condition of program equipment.
Order supplies and purchase materials within budget.
Track program expenses.
Develop and implement marketing plans and create promotional materials.
Supervise part-time staff and volunteers in the skating program.
Assist with staff recruitment evaluation and training.
Ensure adequate program staffing including scheduling and assigning work.
Ensure compliance with all operational rules and procedures.
Evaluate programs and provide feedback to supervisors.
Prepare and maintain statistics and reports.
Assist with developing new program strategies and recommending changes.
Support other staff and the public as needed and perform related duties as assigned.
What do I need to apply
Provo City will honor an equivalent combination of job-related experience and education/training substituting each 1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience.
Two (2) years of job-related experience.
Valid lawful driver license.
What are the hours
Approximately 15-20 hours per week. Schedule must be flexible enough to meet the requirements of the position and coordination with city staff and the public. Schedule may vary throughout the year based on workload and demands for service. Includes nights weekends and holidays.
What are the physical and environmental factors
Work is indoor office and outdoor recreation work with sun and some adverse weather exposure. May include exposure to high-stress situations or environments including contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances. Requires some lifting of heavy objects and boxes of 25 to 50 pounds. Environment is relatively cold at all times.
What is the selection process
This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
