Our Conservation Programs Heritage and Regulation team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Program Officer to support the delivery of biodiversity conservation programs across NSW. This role works closely with landholders and stakeholders to guide ecological assessments develop conservation management plans and support the establishment of Biodiversity Stewardship Sites.
Youll be part of a collaborative team helping to protect and enhance biodiversity on private land. The role involves fieldwork technical advice mentorship and program coordination contributing to the Departments broader goals of sustainable environmental management and heritage protection.
About You
You have experience working in conservation or environmental science and youre confident conducting ecological assessments and engaging with landholders. Youre practical reliable and able to manage projects and relationships with care and professionalism.
Youre comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and you bring a clear thoughtful approach to planning problem-solving and communication. A degree in environmental science or a related field along with a current drivers licence and willingness to travel on a regular basis are essential.
