Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director DMPK to lead our drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics function across discovery development and post-marketing programs. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Pharmacology DMPK and Bioanalysis (CP/DMPK/BA) this highly visible role will manage a team of DMPK scientists and serve as a key subject matter expert. The Director will partner cross-functionally with Clinical Pharmacology Pharmacometrics Bioanalysis and R&D teams to design and execute ADME/DMPK strategies that drive data-informed decisions and regulatory success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of DMPK scientists to deliver innovative and effective DMPK strategies from discovery through life-cycle management.
  • Serve as a scientific leader and SME on project teams influencing program direction through expert interpretation of ADME/DMPK data.
  • Oversee the design conduct and analysis of in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies to support discovery development and regulatory filings.
  • Author and review DMPK sections for INDs NDAs and other regulatory submissions; participate in health authority interactions.
  • Manage CRO partnerships and ensure scientific quality compliance and efficiency in external studies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in DMPK tools technologies and capabilities.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmaceutical sciences pharmacokinetics pharmacology or related field with 8 years of relevant DMPK experience or MS with 12 years.
  • Proven track record leading DMPK strategies for small molecules and/or biologics across R&D stages.
  • Deep expertise in ADME pharmacokinetics metabolism and regulatory submissions (IND NDA MAA).
  • Strong leadership communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing CROs and leading successful regulatory interactions.

Preferred Experience

  • Working knowledge of PK/PD modeling and simulation tools.
  • Experience in oncology and/or neurology programs.

Demonstrated ability to enhance DMPK capabilities and implement innovative approaches.


    Additional Information :

    Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $192000 - $265000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors including but not limited to depth of experience education skillset overall performance and/or location.
