Human Resources at the University of Auckland provides a diverse range of services programmes and advice through a number of key strategic functions across the Service Divisions and Faculties. Our aim is to provide the best advice and stakeholder service possible.
We have an exciting opportunity for a current staff member to join our newly created HR Services Administration team in a fixed term role until 27th February 2026. The role will be located at 49 Symonds Street with the central HR team.
The HR Administrator role supports HR Services through data entry of student employment agreements such as Graduate Teaching Agreements Teaching Assistant Agreements and casual employment contracts and completing the end to end process monitoring non-advertised recruitment through the Smart Recruiters system and supporting all staff through the on-boarding processes following up where required and responding to enquires.
About the team Mō tō mātou rōpū
This role reports to the HR Services Manager and there will be 2 HR Administrators supporting its function. You will be working alongside the wider HR Services team (HR Services Coordinators HR-IT and Payroll) this team acts as the first point of contact for many HR related queries.
This is a big diverse and friendly team who have created a great culture of supporting each other providing excellent customer service and celebrating their team.
Qualifications

Excellent Customer Service
Proficient in the MS Suite of packages and comfortable using of a range of systems e.g. Smart Recruiters/Workday/Oracle or similar CRM/ATS or on boarding systems.
High attention to detail and accuracy regarding data entry
Organising and planning skills to meet high volume processing requirements and meeting tight deadlines.
Meeting compliance with University Policy and current legislating
Facilitate training of staff on HR Systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
