Thermal & Mechanical Engineering Advanced Packaging
Our team develops thermomechanical solutions for Marvells advanced semiconductor packages powering nextgeneration datacenter products at 224Gb/s and beyond. We drive thermal architecture mechanical integrity and material strategy collaborating with SI/PI package design Operations and Reliability to deliver highperformance manufacturable and reliable packaging technologies at scale.

What You Can Expect

This internship offers hands-on experience in thermal and mechanical simulation usingAnsys MechanicalandICEPAK. The role involves:

  • Performingthermal and mechanical simulationsto support design and validation efforts.
  • Conductinglab measurements and validation testingon Marvell Thermal Test Vehicle packages.
  • Developing and usingscripts for data collection analysis and interpretationto ensure accurate performance insights.

Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in simulation tools data analysis and practical lab work.

What Were Looking For

  • Currently pursuing aMasters degreeinMechanical EngineeringMaterials Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong foundation inthermal and mechanical analysis including familiarity withfinite element analysis (FEA)andcomputational fluid dynamics (CFD)tools (e.g. Ansys Mechanical Icepak).
  • Experience or coursework inmaterials behaviorheat transfer andstructural mechanics.
  • Proficiency indata analysisandscripting(Python or similar) for automation and interpretation of results.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work in acrossfunctional engineering environment.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

28 - 55 $ per hour.

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
