Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting (Vancouver)

You will

• Manage the process over the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE IFRS and US GAAP including financial analysis thereof taking a role in both the preparation and review of such statements
• Ensure accuracy completeness and timeliness of financial reporting packages for standalone entities and consolidated groups.
• Lead in the preparation of accounting analysis over complex transactions including ensuring the transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger
• Lead initiatives to standardize document and implement accounting policies including application of new accounting pronouncements
• Providing leadership over external audits
• Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes
• Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting especially as it relates to financial statement preparation and technical accounting analysis
• Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

You have

• Experience working within financial and/or technical reporting for a large complex organization
• Experience preparing consolidated multi-currency financial statements and technical accounting analysis
• A CPA designation
• Strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS experience with REALpac (an asset)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with Yardi
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great people skills able to relate well to others and state your case
• Real Estate industry experience (an asset)

Salary range: $110000 - $130000
