This position is responsible for managing complex projects anticipating needs and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all food safety documentation and reporting functions. What You Will Need:
- High school diploma required.
- Must be able to obtain the required Food Safety certification (PSA LGMA and GFS). Strong technical and report writing skills.
- Advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Word processing and data entry proficiency with a high accuracy rate.
- Ability to investigate analyze information and draw sound conclusions.
- Proven ability to see projects through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
- Professional communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel and external stakeholders.
- Must have the ability to travel as needed.
- Remote work not available for this position.
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Minimum 35 years of senior-level administrative experience in food safety compliance or a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in prioritizing tasks and resolving issues.
- Extensive knowledge of administrative procedures compliance documentation and audit processes within a regulated environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to identify inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Experience supporting senior leadership and coordinating across multiple departments.
- Proven ability to manage complex confidential matters with discretion.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of food safety records and documentation.
- Review and validate all food safety documents for completeness and compliance.
- Track and lead corrective actions for food safety-related items.
- Create training forms and other food safety documents.
- Upload and manage documents in GIS and vendor portals.
- Participate in third-party audits as required.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for administrative matters related to food safety across multiple divisions.
- Use independent judgment to interpret prioritize and resolve administrative and compliance-related issues.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process enhancements for greater efficiency and compliance.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with growers harvesters suppliers and company representatives.
- Must be self-directed and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as directed by the Director of Food Safety.
- Effective working relations with all applicable company representatives growers harvesters suppliers etc.
- Perform other related tasks and job duties as directed by the Director of Food Safety.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
- Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and food processing facilities.
- Must be able to work in a high-noise area.
Benefits
Total Rewards: $20.00 - $26.00 / HOUR
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.
