At The Mai-Wel Group we are dedicated to empowering parents with children under six to achieve their educational and employment goals while balancing the unique challenges of raising a family. As a Senior Mentor Parent Pathways you will play a vital role in providing holistic strengths-based support to help parents overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
What youll be doing
Deliver person-centred strengths-based support to parents across the Upper Hunter region.
Help participants identify plan and work towards education and employment goals.
Provide intensive case management for parents facing complex challenges such as mental health family violence or substance misuse.
Connect participants with local services employers and community resources.
Promote the Parent Pathways program and engage with stakeholders to attract voluntary registrations.
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to program audits and quality measures.
Skills And ExperiencesWhat youll bring
Experience in the employment or community sector supporting people with complex needs.
Strong case management skills and an understanding of professional boundaries.
Proficiency with a range of software programs.
Diploma-level qualification in Community Services Employment Services or a related field.
A passion for helping others and building strong trusting relationships.
Lived experience of overcoming disadvantage and navigating service systems will be highly regarded.
