About the Role
Were seeking an Engineering Manager to build and scale a high-performing technical organization at a fast-growing AI and media intelligence startup.
Youll combine deep technical expertise with leadership acumen to guide the engineering team through rapid growth ensuring high-quality delivery scalability and impact.
This role is ideal for someone who loves growing teams making architecture decisions and staying close to the code.
Youll set direction mentor engineers and ship products that help some of the worlds most recognizable organizations extract insights from massive volumes of real-time data.
What Youll Do
- Build & Lead the Team: Recruit mentor and develop a team of exceptional engineers while fostering a culture of speed ownership and technical rigor.
- Set Technical Direction: Make foundational architecture and infrastructure decisions across the modern web stack (TypeScript React Python Node SQL/NoSQL AWS/GCP).
- Stay Hands-On: Contribute directly when neededdebugging prototyping and shipping production-grade features alongside your team.
- Scale Reliability: Lead the evolution of cloud infrastructure pipelines and CI/CD systems to support enterprise-grade performance and uptime.
- Bridge Product & Engineering: Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Success teams to translate user feedback into scalable technical solutions.
- Balance Short- & Long-Term Priorities: Ensure rapid iteration for customer needs while designing systems that can scale with growth.
What Were Looking For
- 58 years of software engineering experience including 2 years managing engineers.
- Strong background in modern web stacks distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams through scaling phases with a bias for action and accountability.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to guide architecture decisions and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Experience working closely with product managers and customers to drive impactful outcomes.
