Candi is seeking an ambitious and energetic Finance Controller (Accounting & Finance) with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience (CA) to join our growing team in India. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in GST financial analysis cost control and ERP systems. You will take ownership of core finance functions to drive operational efficiency and support our rapid growth in the solar sector.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL AR AP Fixed Assets Payroll accounting and Intercompany transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly quarterly and annual financial closings.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IND AS / IFRS / US GAAP as applicable.
- Manage consolidation and reporting to headquarters (HQ) within corporate timelines.
- Oversee statutory compliance (GST TDS Income Tax) audit regulatory filings and internal control matters.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems in line with SOX / global control frameworks.
- Develop document and improve accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify process automation and standardization opportunities across entities
Cash Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Support smooth month-end and year-end closing by ensuring timely availability of treasury-related data.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls for all treasury-linked transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of interest income forex adjustments and related transactions.
Audit Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Liaise with external auditors lead internal audits compile documentation resolve queries champion robust process improvements automation ERP implementations and implementation of best financial practices as the company scales.
Compliance Payroll & Statutory Requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Companies Act Income Tax GST FEMA etc.).
- Liaise with statutory internal and tax auditors for timely completion of audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all local tax laws GST TDS payroll processing labor and statutory regulations
- Manage corporate filings ROC submissions and board reporting requirements.
Team Leadership Partnering & Development
- Provide timely financial insights and analysis to support management decisions.
- Collaborate with FP&A and business teams on budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support corporate initiatives such as ERP enhancements M&A integrations and global finance transformation projects.
- Train mentor and develop a high-performing finance team; drive collaboration with commercial operations and global finance teams; manage cross-team communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent (mandatory)
- 810 years post-qualification finance experience ideally with 35 years in supervisory/leadership roles
- Proven track record in financial controllership accounting principles compliance statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in renewable energy infrastructure technology sector or multi-location organizations preferred
- Strong expertise in Indian GAAP tax regulations financial systems budgeting and financial analysis
- Prior exposure to fundraising investor reporting or project finance is a plus
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP SAP/Oracle advanced Excel MS Office and presentation tools
- Excellent analytical organizational leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
- Willingness to travel to Candi Solar project sites and regional offices as needed
