Job Summary
The Payroll Finance Analyst supports a centralized Payroll Center of Excellence (COE) by executing payroll-related finance and payment activities in a global multi-entity environment. The role focuses on post-payroll processing payroll-to-GL support bank file uploads reconciliations and month-end close activities under established controls and procedures.
Working closely with Payroll Treasury (Payment Factory) Controllership FP&A and global payroll vendors the analyst helps ensure accurate payroll cost reporting timely payroll funding and compliance with internal policies and control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Payroll & Payment Support
- Support post-payroll activities including reconciliations accrual preparation and journal entry support.
- Assist with preparation review and upload of payroll bank files in coordination with Treasury payment factory processes.
- Validate payroll outputs and funding readiness to support timely salary and statutory payments.
General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Prepare and support reconciliation of payroll-related GL accounts including wages benefits taxes accruals and clearing accounts.
- Assist in identifying and resolving reconciling items and posting variances with guidance from senior team members.
- Support efforts to reduce manual reclassifications through accurate processing and issue tracking.
Bank & Funding Activities
- Support payroll bank account reconciliations and basic bank file governance activities.
- Track payment confirmations rejections and failures and escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate with Treasury and payroll vendors to support on-time payroll funding across global banking platforms.
Vendor & Stakeholder Support
- Support review of payroll vendor and benefit provider invoices for accuracy.
- Assist in resolving routine vendor queries related to payments billing or reporting.
- Provide data and support to FP&A for payroll-related cost analysis and budget reviews.
Controls Compliance & Documentation
- Perform payroll finance activities in accordance with SOX controls Global Payroll Policy and the Payroll & HR Control Framework.
- Support documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist with audit requests by providing reconciliations reports and supporting documentation.
Success Measures
- Timely and accurate support of payroll funding and bank file uploads
- On-time completion of assigned month-end close tasks and reconciliations
- Reduction in reconciling items and rework over time
- Compliance with payroll finance controls and audit requirements
