Job Summary

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently providing high-quality food and service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety along with a commitment to excellence in the culinary arts.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including proper storage of ingredients.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively including knives and cooking appliances.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
Adhere to all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Strong background in food service including restaurant or culinary experience.
Knowledge of menu planning meal preparation and cooking techniques.
Proficient knife skills and experience with various food handling practices.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for cooking and providing exceptional service to guests is essential.
