Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse - Dialysis (PRN) you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. You will be responsible for monitoring patient health administering dialysis and working closely with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is PRN meaning you will be called in as needed to fill open shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assess patients before during and after dialysis treatments to monitor for complications and adjust care plans as needed.
- Dialysis Administration: Operate and monitor dialysis machines adjust settings based on patient needs and ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the dialysis process infection control medication and post-care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including vital signs dialysis treatments and responses to care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians dialysis technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is managed efficiently and effectively.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner providing critical care when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Hawaii.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dialysis nursing.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills excellent communication and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
