Location: Wandsworth South West London
Contract: October 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444 per week (PAYE)

A welcoming 1-form entry primary school in Wandsworth is recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This role is ideal for graduates looking to gain practical experience before pursuing careers in Educational Psychology Clinical Psychology or Behavioural Support.

- Community primary school serving a diverse population aged 211
- Beautiful historic building with modern classrooms new facilities and expansive outdoor areas for play and learning
- Recent expansion with two new early years provisions (ages 23) and a planned 9-month setting

The Role:
- Supporting children with SEMH needs across EYFS and KS1
- Providing 1:1 emotional regulation and classroom support
- Implementing behaviour and nurture interventions designed by the SENCO and pastoral team
- Building positive relationships and modelling resilience and empathy
- Hours: 08:3015:30 with a 30-minute break
Were Looking For:
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree in a BPS-accredited Psychology or related subject
- Empathetic calm and proactive approach to supporting children
- Experience in SEMH or pastoral settings is beneficial but not essential
- BSL (British Sign Language) skills are desirable but not essential
- An Enhanced DBS
