The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the President/CEO the Chief Financial Officer serves as the senior financial executive of the organization providing strategic vision and leadership across finance payroll and revenue cycle operations. The CFO is a key advisor and partner to the CEO and Senior Management Team ensuring fiscal sustainability maximizing resources and enabling the organization to deliver on its mission with strength and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations including accounting payroll billing collections and revenue cycle management.
  • Develop implement and oversee financial policies internal controls and cost-containment strategies to ensure fiscal health.
  • Coordinate preparation of the annual budget financial forecasts and variance analysis for the CEO and Board of Trustees.
  • Provide timely accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders regulatory bodies and external partners.
  • Maximize third-party reimbursement through effective billing collections and compliance with reimbursement principles.
  • Oversee audits compliance reviews and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Supervise finance billing and payroll staff fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and professional development.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of contracts partnerships and new initiatives to support organizational growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO Board and senior leadership team contributing to strategy policy development and organizational goals.
  • Represent the organization externally with partners funders regulators and trade associations.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or related field required; Masters degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience required.
  • 57 years of senior-level finance experience with responsibility for budgeting forecasting and financial strategy.
  • 10-15 years of progressive management experience preferably in a home health and/or hospice organization with at least five years of executive finance experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams build systems and drive accountability across finance functions.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance reimbursement principles and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insight.
