Financial Services Transactional Associate Attorney

This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level associate who wants to build deep expertise in financial services and fintech transactions while working on matters that define the modern financial ecosystem. You will support complex transactional work and play an active role in structuring negotiating and documenting strategic partnerships in the payments and lending space.

You will work closely with experienced partners and senior associates while also managing components of transactions independently. The role offers significant exposure to innovative financial products and forward-thinking clients with opportunities to develop both technical legal skills and commercial judgment.

Who You Are:

• You are a junior to mid-level associate interested in working in Washington D.C. or New York (other U.S. locations may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
• You have a demonstrated interest in financial services and fintech and are eager to work on cutting-edge transactions.
• You are familiar with strategic partnerships in the payments and lending space including installment lending credit card deposit products prepaid accounts and other payment products.
• You have experience with agreements such as BaaS arrangements co-brand credit card agreements merchant acquiring agreements data aggregation agreements network incentive agreements and/or BIN sponsorship agreements.
• You bring strong analytical drafting and communication skills.
• You are comfortable managing components of transactions independently and working in a fast-paced environment.
• You are a member of the Bar in New York or Washington D.C.
