Job Summary

Operation Empower is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Social Worker to join our team part-time (2025 hours per week). In this role you will provide essential counseling case management and advocacy services to individuals and families navigating life transitions mental health challenges or socioeconomic barriers. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs develop tailored intervention plans and connect clients with critical community resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trusting culturally sensitive relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Deliver therapeutic support through individual and group counseling sessions
• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify client needs strengths and goals
• Create implement and monitor customized treatment plans
• Partner with healthcare providers schools and community organizations for holistic support
• Refer clients to appropriate external specialists services or programs
• Maintain accurate confidential documentation in compliance with regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
• Bachelors degree in Social Work (BSW); Masters degree (MSW) strongly preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in social work preferably in nonprofit or community-based environments
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care mental health practices and social justice principles
• Outstanding communication advocacy and case management abilities
• Proven ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems
• Commitment to complete Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire (and every 5 years thereafter)
