The Role: PR Manager Moment-in-Time Division

The PR Manager will lead Zen Medias Moment-in-Time service lines high-impact 30-day PR campaigns designed around funding product or milestone announcements that generate measurable visibility. Youll work directly with the Partner & Head of PR to strategize execute and deliver client outcomes that drive both earned media coverage and generative search authority.

This role sits at the intersection of storytelling operations and innovation ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced deadline-driven environments and can bridge editorial instincts with analytical rigor.


Core Responsibilities


1. Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop lead and execute Moment-in-Time PR campaigns for B2B and consumer tech clients.
  • Translate business milestones into storylines that earn both press coverage and AI visibility.
  • Oversee campaign lifecycles from intake to post-placement visibility reporting.
  • Manage client communications ensuring proactive updates consultative insights and strong executive presence.

2. Media Relations & Story Development

  • Pitch and secure coverage across trade digital and Tier 1 outlets.
  • Leverage Zen Medias proprietary visibility tools (Prompt Discovery Index Published Monthly AVOS) to identify narrative opportunities.
  • Craft tailored media pitches press materials and thought leadership angles aligned with AI visibility data.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with the content social and AI visibility teams to align campaign messaging.
  • Work with developers and strategists to ensure client campaigns are technically optimized for generative search visibility.
  • Partner with leadership to refine workflows templates and best practices for scaling Moment-in-Time projects.

4. Measurement & Reporting

  • Analyze and interpret campaign results beyond vanity metrics using generative visibility data AI citation tracking and impact analytics.
  • Present insights to clients and leadership that inform ongoing narrative direction.





Must have



  • Proven track record of pitching and securing Tier 1 media coverage for national or global brands outlets such as Forbes Fast Company TechCrunch WSJ Business Insider major podcasts and broadcast networks.
  • Extensive experience (90% of prior role) dedicated to active media pitching not content creation internal communications or marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure multi-format coverage including online print podcasts and broadcast media.
  • Agency experience or background representing multiple national brands (in-house experience does not apply).
  • Strong understanding of media timing angles and story packaging this role will lead all Zen Media Moment-in-Time earned media campaigns complementing our Published Monthly system.



Not a Fit If

  • Youve primarily worked as an in-house communications or marketing professional this role requires daily hands-on media pitching.
  • Your background centers on local media or community relations rather than national or global outlets.
  • You have only brand-side or strategy-focused PR experience without direct execution in pitching and securing media coverage.


Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in public relations communications or media strategy (agency or high-velocity brand preferred).
  • Demonstrated success leading PR campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Deep understanding of earned media digital visibility and evolving media ecosystems.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills; able to balance editorial tone with strategic messaging.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting to clients and executives.
  • Curiosity and adaptability in emerging areas of AI data and media innovation.
  • Must be based in Las Vegas or willing to relocate (in-person collaboration is required for this role).


Bonus Experience (Preferred)

  • Experience managing fast-turn or milestone-based campaigns (launches funding product announcements).
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools visibility platforms or data-driven PR measurement.
  • Experience using tools like Propel PRM Agility PR CoverageBook or AI visibility dashboards.
  • Background in tech B2B or SaaS storytelling.

Leading all Moment-in-Time campaigns from kickoff to visibility report.

Securing earned coverage that drives measurable Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) visibility.

Consistent client satisfaction and repeat business from successful moment-based activations.

Operational alignment with Zens proprietary AI PR workflows and cross-functional teams.
