Job Description:

Title: Azure Cloud Architect 4

Worksite: Richmond VA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site 3 days/week)

Duration: 6 months (Expected 1-year engagement)

Interview Type: Webcam Possible In-person follow-up

Senior-level Azure Cloud Architect responsible for:

Advising on Azure architecture & security concerns (migrations refactoring design).
Making recommendations for lift-and-shift and cloud-native migrations.
Conducting proof-of-concept testing in Azure for architectural validation.
Understanding COV MSI and connected third-party offerings.
Performing Azure configurations in support of agency goals.
Producing architecture documentation and technical position papers.

Must have:

Cloud Fundamentals Deep understanding of core cloud concepts (5 yrs)
Cloud Strategy Experience with single & multi-cloud architectures (5 yrs)
Azure Solution Design End-to-end solution architecture aligning with business needs (5 yrs)
Azure Networking & Storage Strong architectural expertise (5 yrs)
Azure Services Key Vault Entra ID etc. (5 yrs)
App & Compute Azure Functions Web App/App Service Containers microservices serverless (5 yrs)
Cloud Security Zero-trust segmentation JIT access conditional access (5 yrs)
Availability & Resilience Designing for RPO/RTO objectives (5 yrs)
Documentation Professional documentation & architecture papers (5 yrs)
Cloud Security Posture Management Vulnerability management encryption perimeter defense (5 yrs)
DevOps Azure DevOps GitHub Enterprise Cloud (5 yrs)
Data Storage SQL Server Oracle Cosmos DB (5 yrs)
On-Prem Architecture Experience architecting on-prem solutions (5 yrs)
Communication Ability to liaise with both business & technical teams (5 yrs)
Certification Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (2 yrs)
