Job Summary

REPORTING TO: Senior IT Infrastructure Service Operations Manager Food Feed and Agro Testing Europe

OVERALL OBJECTIVES: As part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Food Feed and Agro Testing Europe you will join a growing international team responsible for designing implementing and maintaining automation solutions across the IT landscape. Your primary focus will be on Azure Automation in-house automation platforms and custom automation workflows that enhance operational efficiency and service reliability. You will support daily automation operations and contribute to the development of new automation capabilities including the integration of existing infrastructure components into automated processes. This role involves close collaboration with various IT Support and Delivery Teams requiring a strong understanding of PowerShell Azure Automation API integrations and workflow orchestration. An open mind proactive attitude and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment are essential.

You will get an opportunity to drive Eurofins major IT Infrastructure transition and transformation across Food Feed and Agro Testing Europe Businesses.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

Design implement and maintain automation solutions for IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups within the Azure Cloud and on-premises environments.

Lead automation initiatives as part of IT Infrastructure Transformation / Integration / Segregation projects across Food Feed and Agro Testing Businesses in Europe.

Develop and deliver automation solutions that align with business needs ensuring optimal security cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Collaborate closely with Cloud Compute Network and Application teams to deliver end-to-end automation solutions as part of broader infrastructure projects.

Document automation workflows scripts and solutions and support the transition of automated services to regional teams during the final stages of implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

An ideal candidate should have strong experience in the following areas:

Automation & Scripting:

Proficient in PowerShell scripting for infrastructure automation.

Experience with Azure Automation including Hybrid Workers and runbooks.

Experience with Ansible for configuration management and orchestration.

Strong understanding of REST APIs and integration with automation workflows.

Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for automating Microsoft 365 and Azure AD tasks.

Knowledge of Terraform including state management for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Development & Cloud Engineering:

Solid experience with C# .NET Framework and MudBlazor for building custom automation tools and dashboards.

Experience with Azure App Services and Cosmos DB for hosting and managing cloud-native applications.

Proficient in using Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD and automation of deployment processes.

Identity & Access Management:

Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity lifecycle role-based access control and security best practices.

Cloud Infrastructure:

Solid foundational knowledge of Azure Resources with the ability to integrate these components into automated workflows.

Good understanding of Azure Networking & Security concepts such as VNETs Subnets Peering and Network Security Groups especially in the context of automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

General Skills:

Ability to read understand and create technical documentation for delivered solutions.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Very good command of English both written and spoken.

Comfortable presenting technical projects and solutions in meetings.

Below skills will be an advantage:

Python scripting for infrastructure automation.

Familiarity with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).

Other cloud vendors experience (AWS GCP etc.)

Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor Log Analytics or Grafana.

Familiarity with BMC Helix or other ITSM platforms for automation of service management workflows.

Experience with event-driven automation using tools like Azure Event Grid Logic Apps or Functions.

Experience with automating identity and access management tasks using MS Graph API and Entra ID.
