Job Summary
Sandvik Coromant in Westminster SC is looking for a
CNC MACHINIST
SUMMARY:
Set-up and/or operate various semi-complex to complex grinding equipment this includes machinery for centerless grinding cylindrical grinding cut-off CNC tool grinders measuring equipment and various other equipment used in the manufacturing process of inserts. The requirement is to setup/operate all equipment needed to produce a Solid Carbide Insert according to print and standard operating procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Input quality SPC production and other required data into appropriate company information systems.
- Perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Assist maintenance group in performing major repairs as required.
- Write programs for NC/CNC controlled grinders.
- Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Always maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s) and observe company policies.
- Responsible for achieving established cycle time efficiencies and machine utilization.
- Perform other tasks assigned by Manager.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with CNC machines in a mechanical or process industry preferred.
- High School Diploma
SHIFT:
- 2nd (3:00PM to 11:15PM)
PAY CLASSIFICATION:
- W3 ($19.00 - $31.12)
