The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Finance Senior Manager to join the team as the Senior Manager of Revenue Managements Operation group in Renton WA.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
The selected candidate will join the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Revenue Management team to lead the operations team which performs the detailed financial analysis supporting all of BCAs commercial airplane campaigns. . In this role the Senior Manager of Revenue Management Operations will lead the team through the analysis of commercial airplane pricing escalation and advance payments supporting the creation of go to market and closing strategies for commercial airplane campaigns. They will partner with Engine Management and oversee the administration of engine sharing contracts with the engine companies and they will drive the Airplane Program revenue process supporting the quarterly revenue forecast.
The ideal candidate will possess detailed knowledge of BCA program accounting an understanding of the commercial airplane market and sound business decision making skills as well as the ability to lead with and without direct reporting authority.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop technical analysis skills within the Revenue Management organization
Ensures the financial strategies and tactics in competitive business offers secure the sale of aircraft and related services under terms that provide profitable revenue growth and cash flow while minimizing liabilities and risk to BCA
Authorizes complex business offers in accordance with established delegations
Negotiates engine manufacturer sharing commitments and Boeing Commercial Finance (BCF)/Corporate approval for financing and escalation commitments
Leads the Revenue Management Engine Analyst and partners with Engine Management on engine pricing and administration of engine sharing contracts with the engine companies
Leads the Revenue Management Escalation Analysts to administer escalation provisions in customer purchase agreements advise selling teams on escalation strategies in sales campaigns and develop quarterly escalation forecasts
Leads the Revenue Management Operations group Most Favored Customer (MFC) analysis across all sales campaigns that may impact MFC levels and clearly communicates issues to the VP of Revenue Management and the BCA CFO
Leads the development of default concession levels for unsold aircraft for use in the Airplane Programs quarterly revenue forecast and advises the Program Financial Planning Teams on revenue assumptions and items or issues that may impact the programs revenue forecast
Advises Revenue Management Regional CFOs to support Sales leadership and selling teams on solutions to complex business issues which are creative and customer-focused while maintaining strong fiduciary accountability
Evaluates and manages performance metrics
Leads mentors and coaches Revenue Management Regional CFOs and selling teams in deal structure closing strategies and value capture on new business/sales campaignsand customer settlements
Drives to close intensely competitive sales transactions as required
Leads development of solutions to highly complex financial predicaments resulting from customer workouts mergers and acquisitions or existing order restructures
Develops and maintains processes that mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance to applicable audit and SOx controls including forecasting invoicing and administration of engine sharing contracts
Provides Revenue Management support to airplane re-marketing Airplane Operational Efficacy and other key enterprise initiatives
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance Contracts Estimating Procurement Financial Analysis Business Operations Supplier Management Marketing & Sales)
5 years of experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner customer Finance suppliers) in planning and executing projects
5 years of experience using critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy
1 years of experience performing in a leadership role or equivalent
Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations to define and drive common objectives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors Degree or higher
Experience meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution to schedule and budget
Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of industry marketplace and customer issues and the value proposition of BCA products and services
Ability to implement a strong natural leadership style that moves people to act motivates and inspires excellence and innovation
Ability to proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
Ability to gain others trust by demonstrating openness and honesty behaving consistently and acting in accordance with moral ethical professional and organizational guidelines including the Boeing values and behaviors
