Mangino Buick GMC is currently seeking a skilled and experienced GM Parts Counter Specialist to join our team! Were looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of automotive parts and accessories who can confidently assist both retail and internal customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in GM parts prior CDK system experience and a customer-first attitude.
Were searching for someone with a positive professional demeanor strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Solid computer and phone skills are essential and prior experience in automotive parts sales is a plus. This is a full-time position that includes a weekly salary plus a monthly bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist retail customers wholesale customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts in a timely and courteous manner
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Respond to phone inquiries with pricing availability and detailed product information
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal departments and external clients
- Accurately pull stage and fulfill parts orders from inventory
- Alert the Parts Manager to any urgent stock shortages or supply issues
- Communicate with customers about the status of their order
- Consistent with follow-up with the internal and external customers
- Inform service advisors and customers when special-order parts arrive
- Coordinate with the body shop to ensure complete and timely delivery of all parts
- Tag and organize parts for delivery with proper job numbers and customer identification
- Ensure internal parts requests are correctly charged to service repair orders
- Be able to read and understand the electronic parts catalog
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as necessary
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the department
