Primary Responsibilities
- Be able to perform all the non-exempt roles at the branch and learn the exempt roles.
- Fills in slots that are open for on demand need for vacations and change in personnel.
- Must have the ability to learn and perform various MNI Direct branch job roles and achieve functional competency in a timely manner (within first 6 months)
- Help the branch leadership create a positive and challenging environment which is conducive to high performance and teamwork and a great place to work.
- Support the branch with maintaining an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily leading by example involving all team members promoting a safety culture achieving excellent housekeeping and workplace organization and executing clear safety policies
- Assist with inventory control and support through running negative inventory reports investigating the cause and making adjustments as needed.
- Assist with inventory control and support through conducting physical inventory counts printing labels and putting out required inventory signage.
- Assist with day-to-day branch operations including but not limited to loading unloading and auditing material receiving material into inventory and sales counter support.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide supervision support and training to the branch sales and site operations team members.
- Demonstrate the ability to guide and coach the team in developing and maintaining outstanding service to MNI Direct customers (internal and external)
- Demonstrate the ability to provide timely input and analysis of all aspects of the branch and business operations
- Demonstrate the ability to research analyze and evaluate business metrics towards improvement
- Demonstrate the ability to train supervise and oversee safe operations of all facets of branch activities
- Participates in the onboarding mentorship program for new hires.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Skills Knowledge & Training
Education
- High School diploma required
- Bachelors Degree required or equivalent experience (Horticulture or Business preferred)
- 3 years of management or leadership experience preferred
Skills and Training
- Strong communication organization and time management skills
- Have excellent general computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Possess expert Customer Service skills
- Ability to visualize problems and develop solutions; especially in customer and personnel matters
- Must be a leader; able to inspire others to achieve outstanding results
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting standing walking and lifting over 50 pounds
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F) and occasional weekends
- Ability to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold
- Comfortable with the use of all HME and vehicles the branch holds and maintains
