Product Development Scientist

Were looking for a Product Development Scientist who can design test and iterate new regenerative agriculture products from microbial biofertilizers to innovative tools for farmers and home gardeners.

Youll work closely with the CEO and CPO to transform scientific insights into real-world impact. This is a highly creative scientific and hands-on role: you might spend one week designing a microbial formulation and the next running greenhouse trials or refining a product prototype with the engineering team.

Tasks

• Research design and test new regenerative agriculture products (fertilizers soil inoculants and tools).
• Translate scientific literature and field insights into practical formulations and prototypes.
• Lead testing programs for both farmers and home gardeners across Southeast Asia.
• Work cross-functionally with agronomists designers and engineers to bring products from concept to launch.
• Build SOPs data logs and knowledge systems to support rapid experimentation.
• Contribute to the long-term research and product roadmap for Living Roots.

Requirements

• . or Ph.D. in Agriculture Soil Science Biology Chemistry Environmental Science or related field.
• Deeply curious about how living systems and materials interact (the MOST important).
• Experienced in experimental design formulation and data analysis.
• Excited to work across dozens of active projects in different stages of R&D.
• Thrive in creative high-autonomy environments where ideas move quickly from concept to field.
• Strong communicator comfortable bridging science design and production.
