What Youll Do
- Apply your Geospatial experience to ensure the delivery of mission critical features
- Spearhead the planning and delivery of roadmap features across our full engineering stack
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship that elevates the development team
- Champion secure coding practices compliance standards and architectural excellence
- Partner closely with Product and QA to define and deliver on engineering objectives
- Design build and review services with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Track and improve engineering KPIs continuously refining our processes
- Be part of our on-call rotation supporting critical systems when needed
Requirements
Essential:
- Geospatial or GIS experience
- Proven experience as a full stack JavaScript/PHP engineer with a track record in technical leadership
- Deep expertise in React/React Native and PHP (backend frontend and mobile)
- Strong ability to design and scale service-oriented event-driven systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines automated testing and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Proficiency with containerisation (Docker Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
- A sharp analytical mind with a proactive problem-solving approach
Nice to Have:
- Experience building high-availability systems or cybersecurity frameworks (ISO SOC)
- Background working in fast-paced start-up or scale-up environments
- Elixir development experience
- Interest in transitioning into or growing towards an Engineering Manager role
