This role involves leading technical teams and managing complex surface water projects across Arizona including stormwater modeling FEMA Risk MAP studies and stream restoration. The ideal candidate will have strong client-facing skills proven project leadership and hands-on technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage planning analysis and design of surface water projects including drainage master plans floodplain mapping and stream stabilization.

Lead projects from concept through completion including client communication scope and fee development contract negotiations budgeting and schedule management.

Mentor and guide junior engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
-
Utilize advanced hydrologic and hydraulic tools (e.g. HEC-RAS HEC-HMS FLO-2D).
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.

Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license.
-
Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering.

Strong leadership mentoring and communication skills.

Familiarity with Arizonas terrain and drainage regulations.
