A prestigious independent day and boarding school in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Design & Technology Teacher to join their innovative Technology Department from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent role teaching KS3KS5 in a department that values creativity technical precision and practical problem-solving.
The successful teacher will deliver DT across Product Design Resistant Materials and Engineering inspiring students to design experiment and build with confidence. The department emphasises sustainability and digital innovation giving students the chance to use CAD/CAM technology 3D printing and laser cutting to bring their ideas to life.
This position would suit a teacher with a strong practical background who can balance creative thinking with hands-on manufacturing skills helping students understand design from concept to completion.
Deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology across KS3KS5.
Support students with coursework design portfolios and exam preparation.
Teach design principles product development and workshop safety.
Lead extracurricular clubs such as robotics engineering or design competitions.
Promote sustainability and ethical design practices.
Contribute to the departments enrichment activities and exhibitions.

QTS or equivalent qualification in DT Product Design or Engineering.
Strong technical knowledge of CAD/CAM and workshop tools.
