Im working closely with a well-established purpose-led organisation to appoint an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) on an 8-month fixed-term contract.
This is a senior high-impact role ideal for a commercially astute FP&A leader who enjoys partnering with executive stakeholders driving insight-led decision-making and bringing clarity to complex financial data during a defined period of change.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director the Head of FP&A will take ownership of the organisations financial planning forecasting and performance reporting agenda. Youll play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making enhancing financial insight and strengthening financial governance.
The role operates on a hybrid basis with on-site presence in Watford approximately twice per month offering flexibility while maintaining strong engagement with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end FP&A function including budgeting forecasting and long-range planning

Partner with senior leadership to provide clear actionable financial insight and constructive challenge

Produce high-quality management reporting dashboards and board-level analysis

Drive improvements in financial models processes and controls

Support strategic initiatives business cases and investment decisions
-
Manage and develop FP&A team members fostering a culture of insight and accountability
-
Act as a key finance contact for non-finance stakeholders across the organisation
About You
My client is seeking a confident credible finance leader who can quickly add value and operate effectively in a complex environment.
You will likely bring:

Proven experience in a senior FP&A role (Head of FP&A / Senior FP&A Manager)

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at executive level

Advanced financial modelling forecasting and analytical capability
-
Experience working within a group or multi-entity structure
-
A proactive solutions-focused approach and comfort managing ambiguity
-
A recognised accounting qualification (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent)
