Job Summary
Medical Technologist (Day Shift)
Location: Panama City FL 32401
Shift: 12-hr Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex laboratory testing including microscopic immunologic biologic bacteriologic hematologic and chemical analyses.
- Participate in specimen receiving and manage the storage of supplies and materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues; document and perform necessary corrective actions and repairs.
- Ensure quality control procedures are accurately followed and documented according to department protocols.
- Assist with training and mentoring new staff and students.
- Participate in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related field.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Florida State Medical Technologist License (in hand or application in process).
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior MT experience is preferred but candidates with relevant experience and willingness to train are welcome.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Excellent analytical communication and organizational skills.
