As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine you will play a vital role in assessing and treating patients in emergency situations. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and triage patients based on medical need
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in emergency department meetings and training sessions
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Stay updated on best practices and medical protocols in emergency medicine
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Flexible Schedule: 8a-8p 12p-12a or 8p-8a
No call requirement
Annual Volume: 14k patients
20-bed hospital
Must be comfortable with emergent OB coverage
Support Staff: APPs hospitalists
EMR: RPMS
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
