Description
As a Locum Radiation Oncologist you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various types of cancer utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care while addressing the needs of our clients in a timely manner. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing patient care services and improving the overall quality of oncology treatment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with cancer using radiation therapy
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Perform necessary procedures and administer radiation treatments
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology and treatment methodologies
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
No call requirement
Will cover shifts at multiple facilities
Patient Volume: 25-30 per shift
Brachytherapy and RadioPharm skills preferred
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
