Job Summary:
The BDE is responsible for identifying new business opportunities managing relationships with prospective clients and driving sales for Kirloskar DG Sets and ELGi Compressors. The role includes lead generation solution pitching technical coordination site visits and closing deals while ensuring a strong pipeline and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and target potential customers across industrial commercial and infrastructure sectors.
Generate leads through cold calling field visits referrals and digital sources.
Attend industry events exhibitions and seminars to develop contacts.
2. Client Engagement & Solution Pitching
Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable DG Sets and air compressor models.
Conduct technical discussions in coordination with the service/technical team.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals presentations and quotations.
3. Sales Closure & Negotiation
Follow up on proposals negotiate terms and close deals.
Ensure all documentation (PO agreements) is in place and handed over to operations.
4. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activity pricing trends and customer feedback.
Share insights with management for strategy improvement.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with internal teams for installation commissioning and service support.
Maintain CRM/database with updated status of leads and opportunities.
Submit daily weekly and monthly sales reports.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any discipline with strong technical sales acumen.
1–3 years of experience in industrial equipment sales (DG Sets Compressors or related capital goods preferred).
Good communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and target-oriented.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Number of new qualified leads per month
Conversion rate (leads to orders)
Monthly/Quarterly sales target achievement
Client meetings and site visits conducted
Timely submission of reports and documentation
