Position : Virtual Short-Term Rental Operations Associate
Work Hours (Client) : 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. SAST
Pay Range : $1200 $1500 month depending on experience and location
Location of Search : South Africa
Work Location : REMOTE
Role Overview
Were looking for a detail-oriented proactive team member to oversee the daily operations of our short-term rental properties. Youll be the backbone of our guest experiencemanaging bookings coordinating check-ins/check-outs resolving guest issues and ensuring operations run smoothly through our property management system Guesty.
Because of the time zone difference this role gives us extended coverage into U.S. overnight hours while still providing overlap with our U.S.-based team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations in Guesty PMS (reservations assignments calendar updates).
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries issues and special requests during their stay.
- Coordinate guest check-ins and check-outs ensuring a smooth experience.
- Oversee cleaning and turnover scheduling to maintain property readiness.
- Monitor listings for accuracy competitiveness and performance optimization.
- Deliver excellent customer service resolving guest concerns quickly and professionally.
- (Secondary) Support leasing operations for select mid-term rentals (38 months) in AppFolio.
Requirements
- Proven experience using Guesty (or another short-term rental PMS).
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to problem-solve stay calm under pressure and handle guest issues professionally.
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual remote setup.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AppFolio or other property management software.
- Familiarity with dynamic pricing tools GuestyPay and digital lock management.
