Job Summary
Orthoptist-Orthoptics-New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai-M-F Days
Supervise patient care with the residents and perform evaluations on private and clinic patients determining surgical and non-surgical diagnosis and treatment as well as follow up treatment. Develop a treatment plan with the residents and medical director. Participate in the supervision and running of the allied health program in orthoptics and ophthalmic technology. Do research in clinical and basic science in ophthalmology.
Responsibilities
1. Evaluation and treatment of patients.
2. Teach residents and allied health students
3. Oversee administration of the department and school.
4. Do research and present papers.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree - 4 years post grad Orthoptics
2 years experience working in a Strabismus Clinic
