Job Summary
Senior/Principal Transport Planner
Swansea
45000 - 60000
An independent transport planning consultancy with offices in Swansea and Cardiff is seeking an experienced Principal or Senior Transport Planner to join their team.
With a strong reputation for professional high-quality service the team brings extensive local knowledge and maintains strong working relationships with local authorities. Clients value their approachable friendly service and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and draft high-quality technical reports
- Conduct technical research and manage data collection
- Use of transport modelling and analysis software including TRICS Junctions 9/10 and LINSIG
- Undertake highway capacity modelling and assess development impacts
- Design preliminary site access junctions and on-site layouts
- Carry out Active Travel assessments
- Mentor and support junior colleagues
- Assist with business development activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a transport planning role
- Strong technical and report-writing skills
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Competency with relevant software packages
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
The position is primarily based in the Swansea office with flexible working from home options available.
