Salaryper annum Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week County Hall Preston

Following an exciting service restructure we are seeking an experienced Future-focused Audit Manager to join our new dedicated audit team. This team will workin close collaboration with our established Internal Audit and Investigations teams. Together were building a dynamic forward-thinking service that plays a vital role in supporting not only the Council but also a wide range of valued external clients.

As the Audit Manager you will:

  • Leading a portfolio of internal audit work driving improvement and adding value to the Council and our external clients.

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and clients.

  • Developing and delivering risk-based audit plans that reflect strategic priorities.

  • Ensure audit reports are clear concise and impactful.

  • Provide expert advice on complex or contentious issues.

What were looking for:

  • A qualified and experienced audit professionalwith full membership of a CCAB body or the Institute of Internal Auditors and a strong track record in managing internal audit services across diverse clients or complex organisations.

  • A confident leader who can inspire and develop a team manage resources effectively and uphold high standards of performance.

  • A fantastic communicatorwith the ability to engage senior stakeholders influence decision-making and deliver clear insightful audit reports that drive improvement.
