Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds 48 licensed critical care beds 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke addition we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center the Lauren Small Childrens Center including the areas only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Family Care Center a Level II NICU the Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center with Kern Countys first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics and many more services. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Provides general patient care. Assists as scrub tech for C section deliveries and assists with vaginal deliveries.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as an OB Tech
- Completed and passed Surgical Scrub Technical Training or Obstetrical Technician Training for new hires as of 7/1/2009. 10 years recent OB Tech experience in lieu of formal training is acceptable
- Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA) required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional experience in providing care to neonates children and adolescents preferred
- Computer skills and medical terminology preferred
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
