Job Summary:
The CT Technician is responsible for performing direct patient care functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performing clerical communication and other related duties to facilitate the efficient functioning of Department services. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities collecting patient data and performing designated patient care procedures in collaboration with the patient care team. The CT Technician must demonstrate a commitment to quality service for patients the public and co-workers.

Responsibilities:
- Assists patients in routine activities of daily living including range of motion ambulation positioning and skin care.
- Assists with feeding meal delivery hygiene care toileting and incontinent care.
- Collects urine stool and sputum specimens and processes them as needed.
- Obtains and records health weights vital signs pulse oximetry pain assessment and I&O.
- Communicates patient status and reports changes in patient condition to licensed professionals.
- Performs incentive spirometry and transports patients.
- Prepares rooms for admission and discharge and provides post-mortem care.
- Assists nurses in emergency situations and maintains/cleans equipment.
- Performs oral and nasopharyngeal suctioning and blood sugar finger sticks.
- Removes IV catheters per licensed nurse instruction and performs EKGs (if applicable).
- Answers unit phones directs calls and performs data entry into electronic medical databases.
- Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs and notifies the appropriate department of equipment malfunctions.
- Performs selected patient registration activities and other related clerical/technical duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- BLS certification
- KS License
- ARRT
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience
