Job Summary

What you will do:

Youll work closely with the Trade Manager and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to define and execute pricing strategies monitor market conditions and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness and commercial results.  You will:

  • Manage Fiji-based (INTRAPC/MIRCOPAC/MELL) Norfolk and Interisland liner services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Country Managers Sales Leaders and Account Managers to align commercial objectives.
  • Assess and adjust trade pricing to optimise yield and carrying capacity.
  • Provide day-to-day pricing support for opportunities tenders projects and breakbulk cargo.
  • Manage trade capacity versus demand filing rates with FMC and maintaining company tariffs in CargoWise.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide market intelligence to support growth and market share initiatives.
  • Support in setting annual budgets and preparing quarterly commercial forecasts.
  • Analyse trade performance against targets and identify drivers of variance recommending remedial actions where needed.
  • Assist the Trade Manager in calculating BAFs slot partner rates market charter rates and evaluating new service opportunities.
  • Manage CargoWise workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Support with ad hoc analysis reporting and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications :

Heres what youll bring to the table:

  • 25 years experience in liner or freight forwarding pricing.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on profitability and performance.
  • Experience with Australia/New Zealand/Fiji/South Pacific trades is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of CargoWise and/or Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and regions.
  • A proactive attitude with the ambition and potential to progress.

This is a full-time permanent role based in our Parnell office. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
