The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to join our Sydney-based finance team on a permanent full-time basis.
As a key member of our passionate and high-performing Finance function youll work closely with our National Legal Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the National Accounts Payable function and team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee team workload work allocation and performance to meet business needs
Define implement and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement
Ensure accurate timely invoice processing and compliance with financial policies
Manage Chrome River/AMEX expense processes and resolve discrepancies
Oversee BPAY services urgent payments and daily EFT batch authorisations
Finalise Accounts Payable journals and support annual audit requests
Prepare and deliver accurate accrual information to the Financial Control team
Manage the corporate credit card and facilitate international payments
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Oversee end-of-month checklists and proactively resolve issues
Identify and address performance gaps collaborating on training for Personal Assistants
Skills & Experience
8 years accounts payable experience including 3 years managing AP teams in professional services (law firm experience a plus)
Deep knowledge of end-to-end AP processes compliance and reporting
Advanced skills in AP/expense management systems (such as Chrome River) and Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint)
Proven leadership communication and relationship-building abilities
Strong analytical problem-solving and process improvement skills
