- Communicate with students parents and staff members in a courteous and supportive manner
- Ability to abide by confidentiality laws/procedures
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines
- Proficient in computer use printer use using a photocopier faxing and in basic bookkeeping tasks.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the principal vice principal and teaching staff
- Ensure that the office operates in a consistently organized manner every day
- Act as liaison between the community the school and other internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate appropriate documents for communication with the district office
- Maintain all recordkeeping for students and staff
- Maintain student and staff confidentiality in all circumstances
- Track attendance and absences; use reporting software/generate reports
- Communicate effectively with a variety of district and community officials
- Use common computer hardware and software efficiently
- Perform data entry
- Perform general office duties such as answering telephone inquiries filing spreadsheets
- Display strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Carry out assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision
- Provide services for teachers administrators and students like typing proofreading and editing
- Maintain the integrity of information systems databases and office files
- Prepare and circulate communication documents
- Reconcile accounts
- Coordinate room reservations for internal and external meetings appointments events being held on campus
- Purchase departmental resources like materials computers hardware software and officesupplies
- Enroll students using school database/software
- Distribute incoming mail daily
- Dispense medication and attend to other medical needs of students when the nurse is off campus
- Create and maintain up to date class lists
- Manage activity fund accounts
- Facilitate Friday lunch orders for staff
