Business Intelligence Internship Summer 2026 (Hybrid)

About the role:
As a BI Intern youll immerse yourself in the Analytics department and get a unique experience by working on real projects that impact our day-to-day business and production. We are problem-solvers self-directors and action-oriented thinkers so youll be expected to hit the ground running and own your projects with guidance from your manager and teammates. Youll be placed in the Business Intelligence team for the summer youll gain exposure to and work with the other Analytics groups throughout your internship so you leave Enova with a strong understanding of what we do and what youd like to focus on post-graduation. When youre not performing your BI Analytics responsibilities youll be having fun learning professional skills and networking with the rest of Enova.

As a member of the Enova internship program you will have the benefit of networking with other interns across the company through in-person or virtual team outings lunches and events. This summer our interns went on an architecture tour volunteered at the Anti Cruelty Society had an event at Ace Bounce for ping pong and wrapped up the summer with a presentation about their summer project(s).

This internship will begin June 15 2026 - August 21 2026. This role is hybrid and eligible candidates must be able to work in the Chicago office 3 days per week.

Requirements:

• Acceptable Graduation Dates: December 2026 - June 2027
• Local to the Chicagoland area or willing to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Learn various business intelligence (BI) & analytics tools to support enterprise-level reporting at Enova
• Build data & reporting solutions by accessing data available within our on-premise and cloud databases like Snowflake
• Model complex SQL queries Extract Transform Load(ETL) processes and data visualizations
• Learn and use cloud technologies like AWS Astronomer Airflow Snowflake etc.
• Work with various departments within Enova like Marketing Finance & Accounting and Operations
• Work with senior management to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that our products are performing optimally
• Identify and explore innovative AI use cases across various business units leveraging Enovas AI tech stack to drive strategic adoption
• Present your project findings and results to key executives and the department at the conclusion of your internship.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field of study
• Experience writing high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze complex datasets
• Knowledge or interest in building dashboards in MicroStrategy or other relevant data visualization tools (Tableau Looker PowerBI etc.)
• Programming ability to write customized code for meaningful data analysis in at least one programming language like Python
• Understanding of ETL processes & data warehouse would be plus
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Compensation:

This is a paid internship. The budgeted hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour for students pursuing a Bachelors degree and $33.00 per hour for students pursuing a Masters degree.
