The Opportunity: 

We are looking for Versatile curious and energetic Engineering Managers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale.  As a Visa engineering leader you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing designing building and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. As a Senior Manager Engineering you will lead and mentor teams delivering innovative CMS solutions fostering a culture of technical excellence and driving adoption of GenAI to accelerate delivery of new payment flows deepen client relationships and diversify Visas revenue streams.   

The Work itself: 

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visas internal standards for scalability security and reusability 
• Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings 
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements valuable service technology and new business flows in diverse agile squads 
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants b2b and business to government solutions. 
• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services Transaction Platforms Virtual Card Platforms and Next Generation Technology 
• Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities 

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for building a strong team and developing products for commercial platforms and solutions that increase acceptance globally.
• Inspire and lead your team to deliver strategic and novel approaches that help optimize Visas approach to growth the client-facing products and streaming payment processing and guide ongoing product decisions.
• Partner with business for market research across the B2B transaction eco system to understand the key impediments to Visas acceptance for commercial transactions.
• Grow and expand your expert team with an eye toward diverse and forward pushing skills that span data engineering experimentation and building of resilient solutions.
• Build an inclusive team culture that is innovative and collaborative.
• Lead strong partnerships key stakeholders including product management engineering design and operations.
• Engage in technical and functional implementations with all engineering teams with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple work streams.
• Enjoy having a strategic impact at all levels including interacting with other leaders on tangly issues and applying strong judgment and analysis toward important business decisions.
• Articulate with both technical and business partners to create effective frameworks to aid the discussion of complicated topics.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualification:
8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree OR 11 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

Built managed and mentored teams of innovative and collaborative software engineers

Track record of driving GenAI adoption within engineering teams to enhance operational excellence and deliver innovative value-added services at scale.
Proficient in Java/J2EE/REST technologies and frameworks like
Spring/SpringBoot Sprint MVC JPA Hibernate etc.
Experience in API Development for producers and consumers adhering to all
standards for security and reliability.
Proven experience delivering highly scalable and available production systems.
Experience in Microservice architecture Containers Orchestration (Kubernetes
Docker etc.)
Familiarity with GenAI tools such as GitHub copilot chatGPT Claude Copilot
for Microsoft 365 and other relevant platforms
Preferred understanding of generative AI models and tools such as GPT Llama
and Anthropic etc. and using MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Experience with system design and tech stack upgrade to build highly available
secure maintainable performing and scalable applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience in driving the production/customer reported issues to closure.
Strong interpersonal facilitation and effective communication skills (both
written and verbal)
Strong business acumen ability to grasp big picture and explain to team in
simple terms.
Experience working with cross-functional cross-geo location with common
objective as OneTeam.
Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity.
Experience developing & leading teams as part of Agile/Scrum team.
Engage with various stakeholders in triaging issues on time and provide
precise and timely updates to stakeholders and Senior Management.
