We are seeking a seasoned HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on employee relations and talent management to join our collaborative and autonomous Human Resources team in the manufacturing sector. This senior-level position is designed for an individual with substantial experience (4-6 years) who can expertly navigate complex HR challenges champion employee engagement and contribute directly to our operational excellence. You will play a crucial role in shaping our employee experience working within a fun supportive group that thrives on autonomy and impactful contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of employee relations providing expert guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation conflict resolution performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract hire and retain top talent within the manufacturing industry.
- Oversee the administration and strategic communication of comprehensive benefits programs ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Partner with leadership to identify and address HR-related training and development needs designing and delivering programs that enhance skills and performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal state and local employment laws proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective measures.
- Drive HR initiatives focused on employee engagement retention and fostering a positive inclusive workplace culture.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership to inform strategic decision-making and improve HR effectiveness.
- Manage the accurate and timely processing of HR data within the HRIS (e.g. ADP UKG/Kronos Workday) and contribute to system optimization.
- Act as a change agent helping the organization adapt to evolving workforce needs and industry best practices.
Recommended Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience with a significant portion in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Deep expertise in employee relations including investigations mediation and resolution of complex issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws compliance requirements and HR best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g. ADP UKG/Kronos Workday) and expert-level Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively at all levels influence stakeholders and build strong trusting relationships.
- Proven leadership in driving HR initiatives and contributing to organizational strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment maintain absolute confidentiality and navigate ambiguous situations.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
- Experience in HR project management or process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
- Direct experience in a multi-site or large-scale manufacturing operation.
- A strong track record of mentoring junior HR staff.
